From Dream to Action: Why I Founded My Own Cleaning Company

Life has an unexpected way of guiding us toward our true passions, and my journey to founding a cleaning company is a testament to this. I started my career as a labourer, working hard on various construction sites and learning the value of diligence and perseverance. After gaining significant experience in this physically demanding field, I decided to transition into office work, taking up a role as a customer service representative. This shift allowed me to hone my communication skills and understand the importance of customer satisfaction.

However, the office environment didn’t fulfill my desire for hands-on work. I found myself yearning for a change, so I decided to venture into the hospitality industry, working at a prestigious five-star hotel. Initially, the experience was exhilarating; I enjoyed the dynamic atmosphere and the opportunity to interact with guests from around the world. But as time went on, the strict protocols and increasingly picky staff began to take a toll on my enthusiasm. The joy I once felt started to fade, and I knew it was time for yet another change.

That’s when the idea of becoming a cleaner sparked my interest. I wanted a job that offered simplicity, autonomy, and a sense of accomplishment. So, I took a bold step and applied for cleaning positions on Seek. To my surprise, I received a call from an agency asking if I was interested in working at a defence base. Without hesitation, I said yes. This unexpected opportunity turned out to be a pivotal moment in my career.

Working at the defence base taught me the importance of meticulousness and reliability. It also ignited my entrepreneurial spirit, as I realized the potential for starting my own cleaning company. I later discovered that why not just be the boss of my own? I gave it a try and got a few customers. I quickly realized that this suited me best because I could provide better service to customers if I was the boss.

And so, my dream turned into action. I founded my cleaning company, driven by a passion for providing exceptional service and making a positive impact on my clients’ lives. Every step of my journey, from being a labourer to working in a five-star hotel, has shaped me into the dedicated entrepreneur I am today.
